In 2019–2020, as part of the “Tula Embankment” project initiated by the Governor of the Tula Region A. G. Dyumin, under the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin on celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin, a large-scale restoration of Zlatin’s Lavki was carried out. The restored complex now includes the historical shopping arcades, where “bread goods” are sold just like in the 19th century, as well as a café-wine bar and an apartment hotel with historically inspired room interiors.

About the Hotel
Although the building was recreated literally from ruins, the atmosphere is truly historical. Antique clocks, the staircase with the Zlatin’s Lavki logo, photographs of old Tula, collected works of Russian literary classics, and custom-made classic furniture designed specifically for this hotel — all of this emphasizes the historical significance of the complex and sets the tone for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful aparthotel in the very center of Tula, on a beautiful pedestrian street, a few minutes’ walk from the Kremlin and the embankment. We stayed as a family of four in a two-bedroom suite (#6). Everything is very clean and neat, the room is huge with a large kitchen-living room, very comfortable beds, and two types of pillows with different firmness. Breakfasts in the café are very substantial: along with the buffet, they offer two dishes, a drink and a dessert from the menu. It is impossible to leave hungry, even if you or your kids are picky eaters. The staff are friendly and courteous. Highly recommend!

An excellent apart-hotel. Location in the very center, parking and direct access to the main pedestrian street. The Kremlin, the Arms Museum and the embankment are within walking distance. Breakfast is fire, service is top-level. I especially want to mention the manager Dmitry — a model of service from booking to arrival. He arranged early check-in and showed us everything.

Very clean and spacious apartments. The family suite is really big: three full bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a kitchen. Ideal for a large family or a group. Parking inside the hotel behind a barrier and great breakfasts in the morning. But the most important thing is the location — right in the historic center, everything is within walking distance. I can confidently recommend it!
